Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar on Sunday, 22 December 2012 announced his retirement from One-day International Cricket format, Bringing to an end a glorious 23 year of golden career in the format during which he  has numerous batting record.

Sachin Tendulkar , considered the most complete Batsman in modern cricket and one who was considered next only to Sir Donald Bradman. He goes out after amassing 18,426 runs from 463 ODI matches at an average  44.83 . The diminutive Right Hand Batsman has an astonishing 96 fifties and  49 hundreds in ODI format including a double hundred, He also became the first player ever to score a double hundred in ODI’s when he smashed proteas at Gwalior  enroute the record.

Tendulker made his ODI career on his first intenational tour, in 1989 against Pakistan in Gujranwala, where he got Duck. He scored his first fifty in his 9^th ODI and made an immediate impact when promoted to open the batting in 1994, against New Zealand in Aucland, where he smashed 82 in 49 balls. His 1^st century took 79 ODI’s to arrive, but he kept piling them on with remarkable constancy. The mumbaiker , who made himself unavailable for T20 after playing just one match in 2006, will now remain active in only the test arena. His last ODI hundred came in asia cup in Bangladesh in March 2012 a feat that completed an unprececedented 100 international hundreds.

BPL-2: Auction Result and Player list for seven teams.

The Player auction for the second edition of BANGLADESH PREMIER LEAGUE (BPL) was held on 20 December 2012  had taken place at  THE UTSHAB BANQUET HALL of the RADISSION BLUE WATER GARDEN HOTEL DHAKA on Thursday. The covetous bidding of the players auction was scheduled kick-start at 11 am for the seven franchised team on Bangladeshi satellite channel, CHANNEL 9.

Foreign players   were set a base price between  $15000-$75000 while domestic players set base price between $10000-$40000(USD). No Indian player include in this auction.

Australian Famous auctioneer Cyrus Madani  conducted the BPL players auction like previous year. Member of the ad-hoc committee of the BCB Mahbub Anam, acted as the auction commissioner. Along with that, chairman of the seven-franchised team was also present.

A total of 247 players  from 13 countries have registered of their names for the first day bidding. Unlike the 1^st  season there will be no Icon players taken part in the players auction were divided into four categories.  Bangladeshi Player Shakib Al Hasan became the highest-paid cricketer , after the Dhaka Gladiators’  purchased him for USD$ 365000. Pakistani player Imran Nazir  became the  highest price in foreign  category, he was sold for Chittagong Kings.  Dhaka Gladiators bought  Shahid Afridi USD$ 275000.

BPL-2: Bangladesh Premier League T20 Tournament  will start on 17 January 2013. This is big budget league for Bangladesh domestic.  This is 2^nd session for BPL, Dhaka Gladiators were the inaugural champions & Barisal Burners were Runners up of the BPL  In the 1st session.

This year one team expand for BPL which named Rangpur Ryders.  Total seven team participate in this session. They are,

Before starting tournament must 25% of bidding money, during the tournament 25% will have to pay & another 50% will pay within 6 month of the end of the tournament. This year franchisees can buy  10 local & 10 foreign players.
